CUPE Local 1267 Reaches 4 Year Agreement with District of Mission

CUPE Local 1267 has reached a four-year agreement with the District of Mission.

The agreement brings negotiations to a conclusion and ensures stability for employees through 2020.

The agreement sets out wage increases at 1.5 for 2017, 2% for 2018, 2019, 2020 along with updates to language in the collective agreement.

Joan McPherson, President of CUPE local 1267, said, "We are very pleased with how negotiations went and with the final result we all agreed upon. We are looking forward to the next four years."

Mayor Randy Hawes said, "We are happy to have reached this agreement. We value and respect our employees and their dedication, and are proud to have developed a very positive climate at the District."

CUPE local 1267 ratified the agreement on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
