Long Term Disability Plan - Update

Local 1267 hopes to implement a LTD plan for qualifying union members soon!

On May 4th, 2011, the Long Term Disability (LTD) Committee met and reviewed a draft Letter of Understanding (LOU) regarding the proposed long term disability (LTD) plan for union members. The Employer has now responded to a number of questions the LTD Committee asked during its review of version 1 of the draft and the Employer has now provided an amended (version 2) of the draft LOU. The LTD Committee needs to reconvene and review, finalize and present the proposed LOU to the membership.

The LTD Committee anticipates having some comprehensive information regarding the proposed LTD plan available to the membership soon.

Stay-tuned for an announcement of a Special Membership meeting to present the proposed LTD plan and to ratify an acceptable LOU regarding the plan.
