Health & Wellness Program

Local 1267 is considering moving ahead with a Health & Wellness Program without the Employer's Support!

Background

During bargaining in February 2009, the Union and Employer agreed they would develop a Health & Wellness Program for all employees of the District of Mission.

On July 30th, 2009, the Joint Health & Wellness Committee held its first meeting. The Committee reviewed several other municipalities Health & Wellness programs and discussed what would be a good starting point for the District of Mission program.  The Committee will be doing some 'homework' and gathering additional information for further discussion. To date, additional meetings have not occurred!

Both the Union and Employer recognize the importance of a 'healthy' workforce and are committed to creating a program that will be beneficial to all employees.

On September 16th, 2009, the Union approved a $1,500 expenditure to promote and support the Health & Wellness Program!
