Donna-Lee is currently serving her 3rd term as President after being re-elected in November 2012. Prior to this position, she was the Vice-President for 6 years. Donna-Lee is committed to representing the members of Local 1267 professionally and fairly while conducting the business of the local sensibly as well as transparently.
Donna-Lee currently represents the membership on the Joint Labour Management Committee, Joint Bargaining Committee, Grievance Committee, Political Action Committee, Long Term Disability (LTD) Committee and Website Committee. She also negotiates new and/or revised job descriptions and reclassifications with the Employer.
Donna-Lee is a Planning Technician in the Development Services Department on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and she works at the union office on Thursdays and Fridays.
Vice-President and Health & Safety Officer
Joan is serving her 3rd term after she was re-elected in November 2011. Before becoming VP, Joan was an Executive Member at Large officer for several years.
Joan got actively involved with the Union because she believed the union employees at the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department needed better representation during bargaining sessions with the Employer.
Joan currently represents the membership on the Joint Labour Management Committee, Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee and Social Committee.
Joan is the Recreation Leader in Aquatics at the Mission Leisure Centre.
Marci is serving her 1st term as Treasurer on the Executive Board; she was elected at our local's regular membership meeting in November 2012.
Marci is responsible for all of the financial aspects of the local including preparing the local’s annual budget, presenting the monthly financial reports at regular membership meetings and preparing all of the information that the Trustees require to perform audits at least two times per year. Marci will also 'chair' the local’s Budget Committee.
Marci is excited about her new position and she is looking forward to working with the Executive and the Trustees.
Marci has worked at the District of Mission for 4 years and she currently works in the Finance Department.
Chief Shop Steward
Jason was officially elected Chief Shop Steward in November 2011 although he had already been performing the duties and responsibilities of Chief Shop Steward since he was previously elected in March 2011 during a by-election to fill this vacancy.
Jason is responsible for meeting with the management staff in all of the different departments in the municipality on an ongoing basis for 'lively' debates and discussions, chairing Grievance Committee meetings and providing direction to, as well as mentoring, Local 1267's shop stewards.
Jason is the Parks Foreman and he has worked for the District of Mission since 1992.
Tracey is serving her 1st term as Recording Secretary after being elected at our regular membership meeting in November 2012. She was previously the Membership Officer.
Tracey currently represents the membership on the Bylaw Committee and is responsible for reporting and documenting any amendments that are made to our bylaws.
Tracey has worked for the District of Mission for 3 years and she is an Administrative Clerk in the Corporate Administration Department.
Tina is serving her 1st term as the Communications Officer.Tina was elected during a by-election in May 2012. Tina will complete the 2011-2013 term in this position. Tina is going to be a wonderful asset to the Executive Board.
This is Tina's first time serving on the Executive Board. Tina is also a shop steward representing Schedule "A" employees.
Tina is an Administrative Clerk in the Corporate Administration Department and she has worked at the District of Mission since 2007.
Rich was re-elected as the Education Officer at our November 2012 regular membership meeting.
Rich attended the Fraser Valley District Council's Shop "Steward Learning Series" workshop in Harrison as well as the "Steward Learning Series" week-long school in Parksville in November 2011. Rich will be taking Collective Bargaining Level 1 at CLC Winter School in January 2013 and he will be a member of the Bargaining Committee in 2014. He is also a shop steward for Schedule "B" employees.
Rich has worked for the District of Mission since 2009 and he is a Water-Sewer Operator in the Public Works department.
Debbie is serving her 1st term as the Membership Officer (previously called Sergeant at Arms) after she was elected at our November 2012 regular membership meeting; Debbie used to be the local's Treasurer.
Debbie's new responsibilities will include keeping the record of membership attendance at meetings, ensuring the meeting room is set-up and organized and looking after the "Good of the Union" duties including reporting on members' illnesses, births/deaths, engagments, marriages, retirements and any announcements.

Debbie is the Administrative Assistant in the Development Services Department and she has worked at the District of Mission for over 20 years.
