Donna-Lee is serving her 2nd term as President. Prior to this position, she was the Vice-President for 6 years. Donna-Lee is committed to representing the members of Local 1267 professionally and fairly while conducting the business of the local sensibly as well as transparently.

Donna-Lee currently represents the membership on the Joint Labour Management Committee, Joint Bargaining Committee, Grievance Committee, Political Action Committee, Long Term Disability (LTD) Committee and Website Committee. She also negotiates new and/or revised job descriptions and reclassifications with the Employer.

Donna-Lee works in the Planning Department on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and at the union office on Thursdays and Fridays.

Joan is serving her 3rd term as Vice-President after being re-elected in November 2011. Before becoming VP, Joan was an Executive Member at Large officer for a number of years. Joan initially got actively involved with the Union because she believed the union employees at the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department needed better representation during bargaining sessions with the employer.

Joan currently represents the membership on the Joint Labour Management Committee, Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee and Social Committee.

Joan is the Recreation Leader in Aquatics at the Mission Leisure Centre.

Treasurer

Debbie is serving her 1st term as Treasurer; she was elected to this position at our local's General Membership meeting on November 17th, 2010.

Debbie is responsible for all of the financial aspects of the local including preparing the local’s annual budget , presenting the monthly financial reports at general membership meetings and preparing all of the information that the Trustees require to perform audits two times per year. Debbie also 'chairs' the local’s Budget Committee.

Debbie is excited about her new position and looks forward to working with the Executive and the Trustees.

Debbie has worked for the District of Mission for over 20 years and she is an Administrative Assistant in the Planning Department.

Chief Shop Steward

Jason was elected Chief Shop Steward in November 2011 although he had already been performing the duties and responsibilities of this position since he had been previously elected in March 2011 during a by-election.

Jason is responsible for meeting with management on an ongoing basis for 'lively' debates and discussions, chairing Grievance Committee meetings and providing direction to, as well as mentoring, our local's shop stewards.

Jason is the Parks Foreman and he has worked for the District of Mission since 1992.

Annabel is serving her 4th term as Secretary. Annabel currently represents the membership on the Bylaw Committee and the Social Committee.

Annabel got actively involved with the Union because she has worked in a union-environment almost her entire working career and she believed it was time to give back for the years of good working conditions and decent wages she’s enjoyed.

Annabel is a Labourer in the Public Works Department and she has worked for the District of Mission since 1990.

First Executive at Large

Jason is serving his 1st term as First Executive-at-Large after being elected in November 2011.

Jason was the President of our local several years ago so he has a lot of experience and knowledge and is a great asset to the Exeuctive Board. Jason currently performs various duties assigned by the Executive Board and is also a shop steward at Public Works.

Jason is a Water-Sewer Operator in the Public Works Department and he has worked at the District of Mission since 1992.

Second Executive at Large

Rich is our newest member on the Executive. He was elected Second Executive at Large on July 20th, 2011 and will complete the 2010-2012 term for this position.

Rich attended the Fraser Valley District Council's Shop "Steward Learning Series" workshop in Harrison as well as the "Steward Learning Series" week-long school in Parksville in November 2011. He is also a shop steward at Public Works.

Rich has worked for the District of Mission since 2009 and he is a Water-Sewer Operator apprentice in Public Works.

Sergeant at Arms

Tracey is serving her 1st term as Sergeant at Arms; she was elected to this position at our local's General Membership meeting on November 17, 2010.

Tracey's responsibilities include keeping the record of membership attendance at meetings, ensuring the meeting room is set-up and organized and looking after the "Good of the Union" duties including reporting on members' illnesses, births/deaths, engagments, marriages, retirements and any announcements.
